Scientific Journal of Horticultural Research is a specialist scientific journal issued by the Scientific Society for Flowers and Ornamental Plants (registered under No. 5144/2013 – Giza - Egypt).

The main objective of the journal is to encourage scientific research in the field of Horticulture (fruits, vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants and ornamental plants, and forestry) and in turn to develop this important sector as a main source of food.

The journal is published in yearly volumes, each one including four issues in the months of January, April, July, and October.

It is estimated that the first issue of the journal will be published in October 2023. Also, it is estimated to publish more than 12 research papers per issue.

The following themes are covered by the journal: pomology, vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants, flowers and ornamental plants, timber trees and forestry, landscape gardening, botanical gardens, date palms, postharvest of horticulture crops and products, tissue culture (for horticulture crops), soil-less culture (for horticulture crops), organic culture  (for horticulture crops) and horticulture crops breeding and biotechnology.
